Why eBay UK?

The UK is one of the world's most dynamic and competitive ecommerce markets, and eBay is right at the heart of it!

Based in our Richmond, London office, you'll be part of a team helping millions of buyers and sellers connect, grow, and thrive.

From empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses to shaping the future of recommerce, you'll gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving global marketplace where innovation, creativity, and fresh perspectives make a real difference.

About the Team and the Role

Our 12-month UK Industrial Placement Programme is your opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop new skills, and make a meaningful impact while completing your university degree.

As part of eBay's Marketplace organisation, you'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects that help shape how our marketplace operates and how buyers and sellers experience eBay.

Whether you're exploring data, identifying opportunities, supporting business initiatives, or helping teams solve challenges, you'll have the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives and contribute to work that matters.

One application, multiple opportunities. Through this posting, we'll consider you for a range of placement roles across our Marketplace organisation. We'll explore your skills, interests, and strengths throughout the recruitment process to help identify the right opportunity for you.

What You Will Accomplish

Your experience will vary depending on the team you join, but you can expect opportunities to:

● Make a real impact: Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve how eBay operates and delivers value to buyers and sellers.

● Turn insights into action: Use data, research, and customer insights to identify trends, explore opportunities, and help inform business decisions.

● Be available to start in September 2027 and commit to a full-time, 12-month placement.

● Be returning to university to continue your studies following your placement.

● Be able to work in a hybrid arrangement, including onsite days at our Richmond, London office. Specific expectations will depend on the team.

We'd love to see:

● A curious mindset and enthusiasm for understanding how businesses, technology, and marketplaces work.

● An interest in using data, research, or insights to solve problems and make informed decisions.

● Strong communication skills and the ability to share ideas clearly.

● An organised, proactive approach to managing tasks and priorities.

● A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from others.

● Familiarity with tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, or an interest in developing your analytical skills.

● An openness to exploring new technologies, including AI, and how they can improve the way we work.

We value different experiences and perspectives. You don't need previous corporate experience to succeed in this programme. We encourage you to apply if you're excited about the opportunity to learn and contribute.
