‘Giving wings to people and ideas since 1987’

Who We Are

Inspired by functional drinks from East Asia, Dietrich Mateschitz founded Red Bull in the mid-1980s. For nearly three years, from 1984 to 1987, Dietrich Mateschitz worked on the formula for Red Bull, the positioning of the brand, the packaging and the marketing approach. He developed not only a new product but also a unique marketing concept and launched Red Bull Energy Drink in Austria on April 1, 1987. A completely new product category was born – energy drinks.

As of the end of 2025, Red Bull employed 21,924 people (2024: 19,973) and was sold in 178 countries. Meanwhile, A total of 13.969 billion cans of Red Bull were sold worldwide in 2025, representing an increase of 10.2% against a very successful 2024.

Red Bull UK

Red Bull launched in the UK market in 1993, 6 years after the first can of Red Bull was sold in Austria in 1987. Crucially above all, our people remain the essential ingredient in bringing the Red Bull brand to life, and the Red Bull UK team is made up of dynamic, creative individuals working together to grow the brand, deliver great products and experience.

Our UK headquarters is located in Covent Garden, the heart of London’s famous theatre and entertainment area. Originally an industrial warehouse, the building has been re-designed to inspire, challenge and enable our teams to Give Wings to People and Ideas. Part of this re-design includes the creation of a unique event space that connects change makers, thought leaders, brands, athletes, and musicians from across the UK through a wide range of educational activities, workshops and experiences. In addition to our teams based in London, Field Sales (Off and On Premise) and Field Marketing teams work across the UK, responsible for implementing the strategy locally. There are also many part-time opportunities for students.

Our workplaces reflect the brand culture: creative spaces that stimulate collaboration and interaction; offices designed to promote focus and concentration; fully connected meeting rooms that enable seamless communication with our colleagues in the office, across the UK and around the world; facilities that support our daily lives and communal areas where we come together to socialise and celebrate.
