- Ensure alignment with brand messaging and organisational communications strategy by producing detailed event plans, preparing Leadership Team speaker briefings, writing invitation copy, suggesting agenda topics, developing speaker content, script writing, and evaluating post-event impact.
- Manage event budgets (with overall budget responsibility around £30k), adhering to overall team budgets, coordinating logistical elements including booking venues, catering, securing speakers, equipment, purchase orders, contracts, processing invoices, and liaising with Finance.
- Demonstrate full ownership of event delivery, ensuring events are executed on time, within budget, and in line with agreed objectives, while attracting the appropriate calibre of attendees.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation, building strong relationships with colleagues to support project success and ensure events contribute to wider organisational goals.
- Support the Principal Event Manager on Corporate flagship events (such as Awards and AGM), taking responsibility for defined sections/components, managing external agencies and suppliers, and securing high-calibre panellists, speakers, and hosts.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members to help develop their skills, act as a sounding board, and deputise for the Principal Event Manager when required.
- Stay informed about the latest event trends, topics, speakers, and formats while aligning with internal priorities to continually enhance the events offering.
About you:
You are an experienced event professional with a proven track record in delivering high-quality in-person and virtual events.
