Overview
This internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience within an in-house UK Tax team.
The successful candidate will spend time working across both Direct Tax and Indirect Tax,learning how tax supports a global trading business. Alongside day-to-day tax work, the role will also involve supporting projects focused on improving processes and using technology more effectively. This is a structured internship with real responsibility and support from experienced team members. There is potential for future opportunities following successful completion of the programme.
No previous tax experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in:
- Supporting the Direct and Indirect Tax teams with day-to-day tasks
- Assisting with process improvement and automation projects
- Helping with data analysis and efficiency initiatives
- Supporting work relating to digital reporting and e-invoicing
- Carrying out research on tax topics
- Preparing short summaries and basic analysis
- Providing general support to the UK Tax team
You will receive guidance and training throughout.
Required Qualifications
- GCSEs and A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications)
- Strong academic performance preferred but not essential
- Further education or early university study welcome but not required
- An interest in learning how businesses operate
- Good written communication skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic data
- Willing to learn and ask questions
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic confidence using Excel or similar tools
